The Carver is about the endless pursuit of the curve, not a race for performance. It's the ski for people who come for the piste and want to draw their own lines on it: mellow arcs at dawn, hard carves at noon, a switch turn on the way to lunch.

Quick and precise with an 84 to 86 mm waist and a 12 to 14 m radius, it locks in early and comes out clean. Light enough that ex-slalom skiers are surprised at first — and used to it by the second run. Stable in changing snow. And yes, it goes off the edge of the piste more happily than it should.

Same board-sport roots as the rest of the range: the snowboard silhouette when the two skis sit together, the surfboard line down the middle. Rethinking the classics meant going back to the eighties, when board culture inspired skiers to carve the piste just because it was fun. Here the fish tail is smaller and mostly a signature — with a slightly kicked tail for switch carving.

Seven prototypes. A progressive flex, stiffer at tip and tail for grip and rebound, softer under foot for a playful carve. The most discreet design of the range, full black, no need for fancy branding. Still unmistakably a Simply.

Why you'll love it

Seeking new curves

Born from our endless search for good times, on the piste. Draw your own lines — mellow carves or aggressive turns, your style, your call. The Carver is the tool to inspire your ride, with a signature touch no other piste ski offers.

From dawn to dusk

Short or long, quick or flowing: the Carver answers. It encourages hard carving and stays easy to manoeuvre when you feel like playing. Less tiring than classic slalom skis, so you can enjoy it all day long.

Touring-friendly

Light enough to mount as a touring set-up. Skin up the piste before the lifts, enjoy the turns down. The fish tail takes skins.

How it's built.

Everything below is made in Verbier, from 100% European materials, with 100% renewable energy. Here is what's inside.

Next Core©

High-density beech stringers set in a lightweight poplar core. Light where it should be, strong where it counts. This award-winning technology is exclusive to Simply. It's the master key to the skis' signature feeling on snow: a light ski that stays stable and has an impressive pop.

Layup

Triaxial fibreglass, pre-impregnated for a cleaner, more consistent build, bonded with 35% bio-sourced resin.

Base & edges

Sintered PE-UHWD base (Isosport 7500): one of the highest grades for ski bases. Full black for the best performance and easy repairs.

2 mm steel edges — thicker than usual — so your ski tech can sharpen them for years. 20% of the edge steel comes from recycled materials. Factory tune: 0.5° base, 88° side.

Nose, sidewalls, tail

ABS nose and full ABS sidewalls for impact resistance. The fish tail is also reinforced on both tips: you can leave your skis standing anywhere.

Topsheet

Graphics printed directly under the topsheet, solvent-free. A transparent gradient line lets the wood show through — and the design doesn't change every season.

NFC tag

Under the mounting point there's an NFC tag. Hold your phone to the center of the ski: serial number, production data and more.

Sometimes size matters.

There's no perfect formula. It comes down to your style, what you ride and how you ride it. Here's where we'd start, based on height and weight:

Length Rider height Rider weight
160 150 – 170 cm 41 – 73 kg
170 165 – 185 cm 50 – 86 kg
180 180 cm and up 80 kg and up

Good questions.

What's the ideal playground for the Carver?

Every piste. Whatever the conditions. Trace your own curves and have fun doing it.

Can I ride switch on it?

You can — and you should. Switch carving opens new doors. The tail is slightly kicked for exactly that.

Is it too soft for high speed?

It's a playful piste ski, not a race ski. It stays precise and stable at normal piste speeds and rewards clean technique.

Can I tour with it?

Yes, it's light and the fish tail takes skins. We recommend the Kingpin 10 binding for a hybrid set-up.

Should I worry about the fish tail breaking?

No. Both tips of the tail are reinforced. Lean your skis wherever you like.

Where should the bindings go?

On the mark. The optimal mounting position is printed on the ski, and it's the only one we officially recommend. Our ski techs use it too.
